GN ReSound Hearing Aids

GN ReSound is a Danish company and one of the world's largest producers of hearing aids. They are involved in many aspects of hearing technology including research and development of digital hearing instruments and a worldwide supplier of hearing equipment.

GN ReSound has acquired large distribution companies including AB Transistor, (Sweden), Ternen (Australia), Bass and High (Spain) and Dana Japan (Japan) and also purchased the American equipment producer ICS Medical. In 2000 its parent company, GN Great Nordic, bought Beltone Electronics Corp. , making GN Resound the second-largest hearing aid and hearing equipment manufacturer in the world.
GN Resound manufactures in-the-ear (ITE), in-the-canal (ITC), completely-in-the-canal (CIC) and behind-the-ear (BTE) aids through a variety of product lines including: ReSoundAIR, Canta and NewTone.

GN Resound's Canta products offer an extensive line of digital hearing aids. The Canta4 BTE aid as an example offers feedback suppression technology and is equipped with two directional microphones to better have the user better understand speech in loud surroundings.

ReSoundAIR products use GN Resound's ComforTec technology which, among many other things, suppresses feedback, reduces noise and minimizes occlusion through an air venting system. A Canta 4 470-D BTE can cost upwards of $1899.
